At 9:30am, we departed school and travelled through the beautiful Welsh countryside until we reached the Red Ridge Centre. We unloaded the coach and found our rooms before assembling in the games room where we met our leaders. We ate our packed lunches before unpacking our bags and settling in. Before we knew it, we were taking part in an archery activity. We enjoyed aiming at (and popping!) balloons. After, we explored an artificial cave. Everybody completed the cave course; some people even completed it in total darkness, without any lights! We ate our dinner in the canteen (meatballs, mash, peas and a Yorkshire pudding) before making our own packed lunch for the following day. We put on our waterproof coats and walking shoes before heading out to explore the beautiful (and muddy!) scenery that surrounds the centre as we embarked on our night walk. We returned to the centre, had a shower, brushed out teeth and settled in to bed. We are looking forward to a full English breakfast in the morning!
