Cleobury Mortimer Primary School

After we had voted for our class School Council representatives, we had to vote for our house Captains.

As a year group, we discussed the job of a House Captain and thought about the qualities that the person should have. 

We thought that the House Captain needed to be :

• Responsible

• Trust worthy

• Good at listening

• Confident to talk in front of a large group

• Kind

• Good at maths

Then, the candidates made their speeches to try and convince us that they would be a good representative for each house.

After the candidates had presented their speech, each member of the four houses had one vote.

As we live in a democracy, the candidates with the most votes became our House Captains.
