We certainly have had an exciting time at the beginning of our Christmas Activities.

Ethel the Elf arrived in Fox Class on Thursday and bought us a Christmas tree and some decorations. We all had a bauble to put on the tree and worked together to add the tinsel and the classroom decorations. Ethel has been in some very strange places in our classroom.

In phonics we have been reviewing all our sounds that we have learnt and have been writing them and reading them in a sentence.

Our story has been the Nativity Story and we have been talking lots about some new words we have heard like taxes, shepherd, wise men and learning exciting words like dazzling and trudged.

In maths we have been learning about parts and whole. We began by singing Head, shoulders, knees and toes and talked about how our body is a whole but has different parts, we then looked at Number Block 2 and at what happens when we part it, we get 1 and another 1 to make 2.

On Monday we had a visit by a Fireman (Scott) who told us about his job and showed us some of the special equipment that he has to use. He also explained to us what to do if there is a fire in our house. We all sat beautifully and remembered lots of things that Scott told us.

On Tuesday we had a lovely time eating our Christmas lunch, we all made a party hat to wear and we listened to some music as we were eating.

We have been very busy making lots of things to bring home at the end of term!!!!

A very big thank you to the grown ups that came to our craft afternoon, we had a fantastic time. We were all very busy but had lots of messy fun.

Thank you so much for all your support during this term. I hope you have a great Christmas holiday.
