We have had such a busy few weeks in Fox Class and our adventures have taken us to lots of learning.

Last week we were lucky enough to take part in the national Nursery Rhyme week. We enjoyed hearing some rhymes that were familiar to us like Twinkle, Twinkle, 5 Little Speckled Frogs and 1,2,3,4,5 Once I caught a fish alive but also learnt some new rhymes, BINGO and The Big Ship Sails. We didn't only say the rhymes but also made lots of activities about the rhymes.

In phonics we have been continuing to learn some sounds and blend them into words. During our phonics lesson we have been practising our handwriting to make sure we form our letters correctly.

In maths we have been using the words 'more than' and 'fewer than' to compare amounts. We have also been subitising numbers up to 5, this is when you are able to look at a group of objects and say how many there are without counting them.

Our mystery reader visited last week and read us a story, we were all very excited and listened carefully.

We all looked amazing our own clothes on Friday for Children in Need and during the day we talked about World Kindness week and how we can be kind to people and we thought it was a nice idea to smile at each other to make everyone feel cared for.

We also enjoyed a visit from the dental nurses who came to remind us about keeping our teeth healthy. We remembered lots of things about this and asked some very good questions.

Thank you so much for continuing to share the reading books with the children and also thank you for the SeeSaw photos we really enjoy looking and chatting about the things you have been doing.
