Class News - 11/11/22

Wow! We have been working so hard since half term and I am pleased with all the children's efforts. Last week we finished off our Black History Month with a letter of persuasion from Rosa Parks. In this letter we discussed how unfair life was when black people were segregated and we learned about what the word 'Boycott' means. In maths we have been developing our addition and subtraction skills and we have been putting these into practice through problem solving.

In science we have been looking at gestation in mammals and investigating whether there is a link between gestation and life expectancy. We have also started to look at invertebrates and have been identifying different types of invertebrates.

In Computing we have started Coding and we will continue to look at creating, analysing and debugging lines of code. In history, we have been looking at Anglo Saxon jewellery and the different Anglo Saxon kingdoms. Very soon we will be making items of Anglo Saxon jewellery as an end to our topics. Finally in PE we have started our theme of bridges in gymnastics.
