Class News > 7/10/22

We have another exciting week in Year 4. In English we have been writing our very own stories with a warning. I have been really impressed with the ideas, vocabulary and content of the stories. Lots of lessons to be learned about listening to adults!

In maths we have continued our journey with Number and this week we have been learning Roman Numerals. Some of the class can tell me that 2022 is written as MMXXII.

In science we have been looking at vertebrates, in particular the differences between mammals, birds, fish, reptiles and amphibians. This has also helped with our classification keys that we started last week.

In PE, we have started to use orienteering. On Tuesday, we were hiding different objects and placing them on a map for a partner to find. Children have also been familiarising themselves with the directions of the compass.

Finally in history we have been studying a range of Anglo Saxon artefacts, sketching and finding out more information.
