A very warm welcome to our Nursery. We are so excited to start a new year filled with fun, learning and exploration. Each child will be assigned a key worker who will be your main point of contact. Their role is to help support your child’s learning and wellbeing throughout their time with us.
Drop Off and Collection
Morning session: 8.40am – 11.40am
Afternoon session: 12.20pm – 3.20pm
Full day: 8.40am – 3.20pm
Please bring your child to the school gate in the morning, where a member of staff will greet them. If you are collecting your child at 11.40am or arriving for the afternoon session, please wait in the school reception area.
At the end of the day, children are dismissed one by one to ensure everyone’s safety. This may take a little longer at first while we get to know you all. If someone else will be collecting your child, please let us know in advance.
Snacks and Drinks
We provide fruit and milk during both morning and afternoon sessions. Please send a named water bottle filled with water each day. If your child has any allergies, dietary requirements or medication, please inform a member of staff and make sure these details are updated on Arbor.
Clothing
Nursery life can be busy and messy, so please make sure your child has a spare set of clothes (top, bottoms, socks and underwear) in a bag that can stay at Nursery. Please ensure all items are labelled clearly. If your child wears nappies, please provide nappies, wipes and any creams they may need, in a named bag.
We use our outdoor area every day, so children will need layers of clothing suitable for the weather. A waterproof all-in-one and a pair of wellies are ideal and can be kept at Nursery. Please ensure all items are labelled.
Class Dojo
We use Class Dojo to share photos, updates and messages with families. You’ll also receive reminders about upcoming events. Parents can also share photos of their child at home too, which we love to show their friends during circle time. Login details and further information will be given upon starting.
Talking Tube
Each day one child is chosen to be the Line Leader. They help lead their friends to playtime and lunch, and they also take home the Talking Tube. The Talking Tube can be filled with small items, toys or photos for your child to share and talk about with their friends during circle time. Please note that children should only bring toys to Nursery as part of this activity.
Sharing Stories
Each week, your child will bring home a story book to share with you. Please return their book bag on their next session so that it can be changed.
We hope this information helps you and your child feel ready to start. If you have any questions, please speak to a member of staff – we’re always happy to help.
